Spend spring break studying U.S. and European intellectual property law in Strasbourg, France!
The Center for Advanced Study & Research on Intellectual Property (CASRIP) will be offering the Transnational Intellectual Property Seminar in Strasbourg, France co-hosted by Centre d\'Etudes Internationales de la Propriété Intellectuelle (CEIPI) at University of Strasbourg on March 23-27, 2015.
This 5-day program includes comparative law classes taught by U.S. and European professors on various areas of intellectual property. This year will highlight global IP enforcement, particularly European Uniform Patent Enforcement System. Students will also have the opportunity to work with their European colleagues in a license negotiation exercise and a mock trial presented before U.S. and European judges.
The Transnational program is a one week program for law students from our partner schools in Europe as well as Russia and China and of course UW. There are about 50 students that participate. We do not charge a fee for the program, however, the student is responsible for their own transportation, housing and meals. As for housing, CEIPI will arrange and reserve dorm rooms for the students and I believe the cost is quite reasonable.
